Varnish is becoming a popular finish for acoustic guitars. It has excellent acoustic properties, and it's my personal favorite finish. There isn't much information, until now about the finishing process with Varnish. I've made a DVD set showing, and explaining the Varnishing process from start to finish. There's also a schedule outline, and a list of all supplies and materials used. This finish in this video is applied with a spray gun, and buffed with a buffing machine, but instructions are inlcuded for brushing the finish, and buffing my hand. Maintaining the proper humidity is very important for any solid wood acoustic guitar. To maintain the humidity you have to be able to monitor it. Alot of hygrometers aren't accurate.
